This is a short route with hut on every stage for overnight, light form solar energy is available and water tap. It’s the easiest way for climbing to the top, normally it takes 5 –6 days. The first day, during the rainforest zone you can see some colobus and blue monkey.
Day 1: Arrive Kilimanjaro International Airport/ Nairobi International Airport. You will be met at the airport if arriving at Kilimanjaro International, otherwise take the shuttle from Nairobi to Moshi. Sleep at any Hotel in Moshi (very nice) for VIP and standard tours. Economy tour members will stay in a local hostel (basic with all amenities).
Day 2: Leave Moshi town about 8:30 am and drive about 45 minutes to Marangu gate on the eastern side of Kilimanjaro. Do the necessary paperwork at the park gate. Be sure to bring your passport. Begin hiking at about 10:30 am. Hike through rainforest from the park gate (6,000ft) to Mandara huts (9,000 ft), taking about 4 hours. Look for colobus monkeys and blue monkeys. Stop halfway for lunch. Reach Mandara huts at about 2 or 3 PM. Unpack, rest and have some chai. Dinner is served during early evening about 7 PM. A side tirp to Mundi Crater (about 15 minutes away) is a good way to see the surroundings as well as vies of Kenya and northern Tanzania. Bathrooms are available, with running water.
Day 3: Wake to breakfast (approx 7:30 am) and pack for he next leg. Break camp at about 8:30 am and hike to Horombo huts (12,000ft) This leg should take 5 to 6 hrs. You travel though the lower health land with small shrubs being the main vegetation. Stop halfway for lunch. Views of Mawenzi are amazing. The summit of Kibo can be seen from Horombo huts. Arrive Horombo huts about 3 PM. Rest, upack, and prepare for dinner. Bathrooms are available with running water.
Day 4: Wake to the breakfast as usual (if ou wake before sunup you can get some great photos of the sunrise. Pack and begin th hile to Kibo huts (15,500 ft). The first half of the day’s hike traversesthe upper healthland while the second hald crosses the vast saddle that connects Mawenzi and Kibo. The saddle in a alpine desert that resembles a lunar landscape. Be careful to notice signs of altitude sickness. The day’s hike should take 6 to 7 hrs, stopping halfway for lunch. No running water at Kibo huts.
Day 5: Wake at around midnight to a light breakfast, then prepare for the summit ascent. This part of the hike is carried our during the early morning before dawn so that climbers reach Uhuru Peak at around sunrise. Leave at abut 1:00 am and reach Gildman’s Point at about 1:00 am . The climber is met with viess fo the crater fomr Gildman’s Point because it is on the crater rim Another 11/2 hours of hiking brings the cimber to Uhuru Peak ( 19,340 ft) at about 8:30 am. From there you will descend back ot Kibo huts, collect your things and cross the saddle again to Horombo huts where you will spend the night. Eat dinner and get some deserved sleep.
Day 6: wake as usual, pack and descend to Mandara huts. Take lunch there and continue on to the park gate where you will be met by your transport back to Moshi. You should reach the park gate at around 2 or 3 PM.
Day 7: Depart for the airport or other destination in Tanzania or Kenya. Zanzibar is good way to recuperate. Other trips around Moshi and Kilimanjaro can be arrange at a reasonable price.
This is among the beautiful and attractive for flora and fonna of he nature. It’s a camping route the climbers sheltered on a tent in the nights. It’s a steeply way and is good challenge. To ascend to the peak someone need to got through the glades to Barafu camp or Arrow Glacier camp.
Normally is used by tactical climbers and it takes 5 –7 days to make it.
LONDROS ROUTE (“Chamber Route”)
This is one of the nicest ways for climbing the mountain, which is starting on the north – west, and on the ways you can see large parts of the Kenya country. You drive by car from Moshi to the gate for almost 3 hrs and you pass the forest of eyprass and common for potatoes plantation areas and carrot facing the neighbor Mt. Meru scenery. You drive by car up to the place call Morrum point via the gate of the Londros Route and you start trek form this point, after lunch.

The game drive from the hotel after breakfast to NALEMORU GATE via MARANGU MTONI, TARAKEA to the gate. Registration and lunch taking follows. The trail goes westwards for 2 – 3hrs to the first hut.

After breakfast the party walk through a moorland westwards and then south- west to the 1st cave. The second cave on the south direction walk will let he party to have lunch and rest. Then the Eastern direction walk will spent hours walk through ridges then turns west to the second hut (Campsite). Overnight and dinner spent her.

The Westwards climb through to the steeper ridges spend 3hrs to Mawenzi torn –hut campsite over facing Mawenzi peak. Dinner and overnight spent here.

Northwest climb will take the party on the alpine trail facing Kibo peak through several ridges to JIWE LA UKOYO (THE TERM used by the natives as starting point or first rock) west wards to Kibo hut. DINNER AND REST SPEND HERE until midnight

At midnight the final ascent takes place to the summit spending 6 – 7hrs though as sandly, rock, zig-zag trail to GILMANS POINT (568m). The trail turns South – West through the crater rim to Stella point; then west wards to Uhuru peak being the uppermost point in Africa. After photos and enjoyment of the natural beauties the tracking down to Kibo hut follows. The rest and final downwards walk to HOROMBO for the evening dinner and overnight spent here.

After breakfast the team starts downwards through moorland mountain forest to MANDARA HUT. The rest and descent goes on fro 2hrs to the gate. Registration and a game drive will take them back to the booked hotel.

After finishing breakfast the game drive will take the party to Londrosi gate via Boma la Ng’ombe, Sanya juu, Landrosi village to the gate. Dinner and overnight will be taken on the glades of rain forest to a point called LEMOSHO.

Completing the morning programme the climbing start for 2hrs to half way for lunch tracking will take the party through the dense rainy forest northwards, then westwards to severa to several ridges until the lat campsite “Mti mkubwa” here dinner and overnight spent.

The upward descent will take the group south west through a very steep ridge, a time of 21/2 hrs to half way. The rest and lunch taken here. The climb goes on through a steep ridge westward the finally climb down to SHIRA ONE CAMP SITE. DINNER AND OVERNIGHT SPENT here.

For better and enjoyable climb an extra day should be spent at Shira. Having hiking for 3-31/2hours to nearby Shira plateaus, needles and cathedral. Dinner and overnight will be spent here.

On finishing the morning programme the group will continue North – West for 3 to 4 hours to Shira two. The trail pass through few vegetation and of slender tress equalizing the day, hot air with less oxygen contain during the day while the weather being very cold and calm during the night. Day 2: Wake to breakfast and drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate in Machame (approx 30 min) via 4-wheel drive vehicle (elevation approx 6,000 ft.) Unpack and begin the first day of hiking (approx 4 hrs. of hiking /climbing) Reach Machame hut campsite around 2:00 pm stopping for lunch. Set up camp, rest, and eat dinner during early evening. This hike traverses the lush rainforest which belts Kilimanjaro Elevation is 9850ft.
Day 3: Wake to breakfast, break camp and begin the second day of hiking/climbing. This 5 to 6 hr. like traverses the lower moorland and healthland. The rainforest gives way to large shrubs, which decrease in size with increasing elevation. Stop for lunch, and then continue on the Shira hut campsite. Set up camp, rest, and eat dinner during early evening. The west face of the Kibo volcano (usually referred to as Kilimanjaro) looms above the campsite. Elevation is 12,500ft.
Day 4: Wake to breakfast, break cap, and begin the third of hiking/climbing. This 5 to 6 hr. hike continues through the lower moorland sometimes climbing steeply and sometimes descending just as steeply to reach Barranco hut campsite directly below the sough face of Kibo (stopping halfway for lunch of ceruse) Elevation is 13,800 ft. The views of northern Tanzania and Mt. Meru to the west are amazing not to mention the view of Kibo itself. Set up camp, rest and eat dinner during early evening.
Day 5: Wake to breakfast, break camp, and begin the fourth and final day of hiking./climbing before the summit day. Climb to Barafu hut campsite on the southeast side of Kibo to meet the summit trail, again stopping for lunch. This 4 to 5 hr. hike traverses the alpine desert where the sheer ruggedness of Kilimanjaro is breathtaking. Barafu hut campsite is situated at an elevation of 15,100ft. Set up camp, eat a very early dinner and get some rest. The summit day starts early.
Day 6: Wake at about 12:30 am to a light snack and begin the summit climb. The winding switchbacks climb slowly toward the crater rim and Stella Point ( approx 18,500 ft. elevation) From Stella Point one can see he inner crater and ash cone not to mention the amazing glaciers covering the sough face of Kilimanjaro. Continue another half though to the roof of Africa – Uhuru Peak at 19,340 ft. Stop for a bit of rest and photo opportunity. Vies of Mawenzi to the east and Mt. Meru to the west as well as the rift valley, northern Tanzania and southern Kenya are breathtaking. At this range, Kilimanjaro’s glaciers are as awe-inspiring as they are pristine. After a rest, descend back to Barafu hut campsite, break camp and descend to Mweka to hut campsite at 9,850 ft. elevation. Set up camp, each dinner and get some well –deserved rest. Along day of hiking totaling approx 12 – 14 hrs. Depending on the fitness of the climber.
Day 7: Wake to breakfast, break camp and begin the short hike down to the park gates at Mweka at approx 5,500 ft. elevation Drive from park gates back to Moshi. Spend the afternoon shopping resting or sightseeing in Moshi. Sleep at the Kili Crane Hotel ( a hot sower is recommended at this point) or hostel. Sleep well.
Day 8: Depart fro the airport or other destination in Tanzania or Kenya. Zanzibar is a good way to recuperate. Other trips around Moshi and Kilimanjaro can be arranged at a reasonable price.
